Im Bewußtsein, daß der ungehinderte Zugang zu seinen erzielten Forschungsergebnissen von großer Wichtigkeit ist, setzt sich das COS Heidelberg ab 2015 für folgende Ziele ein:

  • Veröffentlichungen, deren Hauptautor ein COS-Mitglied ist, unter Wahrung der Open Access-Richtlinien des jeweiligen Verlages frei zugänglich zu machen.
  • Alle Anstrengungen zu unternehmen, um diese Ziele zu erreichen durch:
    • Archivierung seiner Veröffentlichungen in Open Access-Datenbanken ("Green Open Access")
    • oder durch Veröffentlichung in Open Access-Zeitschriften ("Gold Open Access")
