COS PhD Program
The Centre for Organismal Studies offers an attractive 3-year PhD program with excellent training and research opportunities in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, developmental and evolutionary biology. Scientific work is based on state-of-the art methodological platforms including bioimaging, structural biology and functional genomics. The program emphasizes on independent research and is complemented by a thorough PhD curriculum.
The COS PhD program is embedded in the Hartmut Hoffmann-Berling International Graduate School (HBIGS) and aims to realize a continuous and intense training program of future researchers. Strong ties with other graduate schools on the Heidelberg Life Sciences Campus encourage close cooperation across the borders of scientific disciplines and create a vigorous scientific environment.
The program is open to students from Germany and from abroad who hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, chemistry, medicine, or related fields. All courses are held in English.
