The Centre for Organismal Studies (COS) Heidelberg aims to study organismic biology beyond the borders of organisational level. Research and teaching at COS is dedicated to study organismic biology from the basic molecular principles to cell biology, developmental biology and physiology both in plants and in animals and to further extend into evolution, biodiversity, systems biology and biotechnology.

New Collaborative Research Centre

The new Collaborative Research Centre “Mechanisms and Function of Wnt signaling” lead by Thomas Holstein will receive a four year funding grant by the DFG.

 

 

New Research Units

The Research Units „The concert of Dolichol-based Glycosylation: from Molecules to Disease Models“ headed by Sabine Strahl and „Morphodynamics of Plants“ headed by Alexis Maizel will each receive a three year funding grant by the DFG.
