Spatial Omics Lunch Seminar
Origins
As a group of labs working on wet-lab and computational spatial omics labs, we wanted to regularly bring the spatial omics community in and around Heidelberg together. The main aim is to provide a frequently recurring platform to promote networking and scientific exchange and oster collaboration across institutes and research areas. The seminar series is currently jointly organized between the Velten, Shapiro and Tanevski lab.
Scope
The seminar is specifically meant to cover all areas of spatial omics research form. Past talks have ranged from single-slice multi-omics analytics through computational pipelines and spatial statistics all the way to spatial-omics-driven cancer research.
Format
The seminar is happening on a bi-monthly schedule at the Centre for Organismal Studies (INF 230). We alternate between a session of short and in-depth talks. At the end of each short-talk session, all participants vote for three talks to be held in-depth at the next event. Talks are not expected to be polished paper-ready results, but rather work-in-progress.
Upcoming Events and registration
